Lectrosonics

Lectrosonics, Inc. was founded in 1971 and spent the first decade and a half on portable instrument and voice amplification, developing the MaxiMouse® and Long Ranger®, products well known for their quality and reliability.

Wireless microphone development began at Lectrosonics in earnest during the late ‘80s, and by the mid-1990s, nearly every major motion picture, most television productions and news broadcasting relied on Lectrosonics wireless systems for fail-safe, feature film-quality audio. The company was first to market with many innovations, and is known in several industries as the undisputed leader in wireless audio technology.

Most recently, Lectrosonics has developed a wireless system custom-tailored for musical instruments. The IS400 system uses proprietary Digital Hybrid technology to preserve the tone of the finest instruments, while providing the long operating range and robust quality that made Lectrosonics famous. This wireless system is currently being used by Steve Stevens (guitar), The Dixie Chicks (all instruments), Ronnie Montrose (guitar), Styx (bass), Ricky Martin (guitars & bass) and Foreigner (saxophone), among many others.
